MT KAILASH TOUR Trip to Mt. Kailash & Mansarovar is one of the most hidden, beautiful and untamed place in the world with its rich culture with hundreds of Monastery and chorten as well as beautiful holy lakes can be seen during your trip to Tibet that is starting to emerge from centuries of isolation. This trip aims to introduce you to exotic ancient mysteries and You'll join countless pilgrims and nomads who are called to legendary Mount Kailash where a full circuit of this awesome mountain is said to wipe away the sins of a lifetime and you'll gaze into the waters of holy Lake Mansarovar, said to have been created to reflect the depths of the soul of Brahma.

During the visit you'll experience some of the highlights of this spiritual land and its traditions, its awesome landscapes, ancient trade routes, mysterious nomadic peoples, revered monasteries and seats of power, spiritual wonders and timeless legend and splendor in the Tibetan plateau and chance to explore the some highlights of Kathmandu valley.

Day 1:Arrival day in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft) (Dinner)
Welcome to Land of Himalayas Nepal. Upon your arrival at Kathmandu airport, we will welcome you and assists to transfer in your hotel in Kathmandu. After time to get refreshed, evening welcome dinner in one of the typical Nepalese restaurant in the heart of Kathmandu and briefing about your trip and overnight at Hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu valley sight seeing and trip preparation (BLD)
After breakfast , visit world heritage sites in Kathmandu valley and visit the highlights of Kathmandu and the surrounding areas. We take you to visit the pilgrimage sites of Hindus temple Pashupatinath, one of the most important shrine of Shiva temples on the subcontinent which is place of thousand of devotees, Saddhus (holy men/Baba), and can be seen the cremating body most of the times in the holy riverbank of Bagmati. Hundreds of monkeys are giggling with you and take a time to exploring surrounding area and visit Bouddhanath stupa an another pilgrimage centre which is most popular and important place for Buddhist. You can explore with rounding prayer wheel and flattering colorful flag with melodious chanting noise. After visiting Bouddhanath stupa we'll drive to the City of Devotees (Bhaktapur). This traditional and traffic free town is the third biggest town in the Valley. We'll explore the medieval like squares, courtyards and temples of this vibrant town. After a stop for lunch at a restaurant in Bhaktapur it's time to drive back to Kathmandu and meet up with travel manage for your Tibet tour briefing and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 3: Kathmandu -Nyalam (3,700m/ 12,136ft), 08 hrs drive (BLD)
Starting early in the morning you will be driving from Kathmandu to Zhangmu. After necessary border formalities, continue driving towards Nyalam and overnight at tented camp.

DAY 4: Acclimatization Day at Nyalam (BLD)
This day for you good acclimatization day at Nyalam and enjoy your days. This is most necessary to take a one day in Nyalam for your good acclimatization and safety.

DAY 5: Nyalam - Paiku Tso (4,350m/14,268), 6-7 hrs drive(BLD)
You will continue your drive uphill, this time on four wheel drive vehicle backed by a truck with food, equipment & trek crew, through up to a left turn beyond highway and overnight at tented camp.

DAY 6: Paiku Tso / Zhongba (4,500m/14,760ft), 6-7 hrs drive (BLD)
we are heading north from Paiku Tso you will drive to Zhongba. En route you will come across many Tibetan nomads grazing their live stocks (yaks, sheep, goat, horses) concentrated near the water and pastureland with the panoramic view of the Himalayas to the south of the road and overnight at tented camp.

DAY 7: Zhongba - Mayum La Base (4,500m/14,760ft), 6-7 hrs drive (BLD)
From Zhongba you will head west along the bank of Matseng Tsangpo (river) through the villages of Shue, Paryang and Samsang to Mayumla (5,151 m.) and overnight at tented camp below the pass at a height of 4500 m.

DAY 8: Mayum La - Mansarovar (4,550m/14,924ft), 5-6 hrs drive(BLD)
Drive past Kongyu Tso through the Tibetan countryside and arrive at Lake Mansarovar, which Hindus believe was created by Brahma (the Hindu creator deity) as a reflection of the depth of his soul - manas and overnight at tented camp.

DAY 9: Rest Day at Mansarovar Lake(BLD)
A well earned rest day from the few days of long drive, depending upon the camping site at Lake Mansarovar, usually coming from Paryang we camp on the north-east side of the lake on the grassy field with great views of the Lake and the peak of Gurla Mandata. On this day we will take a drive to the east coast of the lake to visit the Chui Gompa and return back to our camp and rest of the time enjoy the scenic beauty in the surrounding area.

DAY 10: Drive to Darchen & trek to Mt.Kailash Circuit to Damding Donkhan (4,860m/16,040ft) 2 hr drive and 4-5 hours walk. (BLD)
Two hours drive will bring us to Darchen, a small settlement with few guesthouses this places can be quite busy with pilgrims during the auspicious time for the Kora (circumambulation). The holy walk leads west from the guest house compound high above the Barkha plain to a cairn and prayer flags, an excellent view of Mt. Kailash from this spot. The trail continues across the plain to Shershong. an hour past Shersong is a bridge leading to Chhuku Gompa high on the hill above, The west bank trail leads across the screed slopes to our overnight camp near Damding Donkhang that offers a good view of the west face of Mt. Kailash.

DAY 11: Trek to Jarok Donkhang (5,200m/17,056), 5-6 hours (BLD)
This second day of the pilgrimage begins, crossing a log bridges as the north face of Kailash comes into view. As you reach the Gompa and guest house at Dirakphuk you are rewarded with a fine view of the north face of the holy Mt. Kailash, the Kora route climbs onto a moraine, eventually meeting the trail from the east bank. The trail from here climbs gradually to a meadow for the overnight camp.

DAY 12: Trek to Zutul-Puk (4760m/15.613ft), approx 7 hour walk(BLD)
The trail today leads up past piles of clothing, the local Tibetan pilgrims leave an article of clothing or some of their possessions leaving their past life behind them, the Kora continues past thousands of small rock cairns beyond to a stone hut and across a boulder field and up to the high pass of Dolma la at approx.5, 470m /18,525ft. A big boulder represents the goddess Dolma (Tara) is festooned with prayer flags. This spot is the physical and spiritual high point of the pilgrimage Kora. The track from here descends to the plain below, a few hours walk brings you to the overnight camp at Zutul-Puk Gompa, Zuthul means cave. The place is named after a cave in which the poet, saint Milerepa stayed, meditating. His footprints still remain on the roof.

DAY 13: Trek to Darchen (4,520m/14,826ft), drive to Lake Mansarovar 4-5 hr and 1 and half hrs drive(BLD)
The last day of our holy walk 'Kora' leads to a stream of Kailash, then contour up as the river descends towards the plain, the last leg of the trek make a dramatic exit from the river valley on to the plain the walk passes to a Mani walls decorated with carved yak skulls. A short walk from here brings you to the windswept little township of Darchen for the celebration after completing the most awaited highlight of the trip from Darchen a short drive will lead us to our overnight camp at Lake Mansarovar or near the base of Mayum-la.

DAY 14: Drive to Paryang(BLD)
Today, after breakfast we'll leave Lake Mansarovar today and drive to Paryang, a beautiful small Tibetan village, where we'll camp overnight.

DAY 15: Drive to Saga(BLD)
This morning we'll leave Paryang and continue our journey which takes us back to Saga, where we'll camp overnight.

DAY 16: Drive to Zhangmu via Paigutsho Lake (4850m/15,908ft) (BLD)
Our route leads from Saga town to the Ferry at Yarlung Tsangpo (Bhramaputra River) after 40 minutes drive from the camp at Saga. On reaching the river bank we board on the barge like boat with the vehicle to get across the other side of the river bank. From this point the drive takes on the valley and through the passes till we reach near the lake Paigutsho, and further to the scenic drive through the beautiful countryside of Tibet with excellent panoramic views (weather permitting) of Mt Cho-Yu (8,201m) and Mt Shishapagma (8,012m) from the Lalung La pass, at 5050m. After Nyalam down the Tibetan Plateau first to the Chinese border town of Zhangmu for overnight.

DAY 17: Zhangmu to Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft) (Breakfast)
This morning we'll drive back across the Tibet -Nepal border at Kodari and after the custom formalities we drive to Kathmandu through the beautiful Nepalese countryside takes (4-5 hours). After check in to the hotel remaining time rest and relax at the hotel and trip concludes with overnight.

DAY 18: Kathmandu FLY Home(Breakfast)
Last minute shopping drive to airport and fly home.

DAY 19:
Ghorepani – Tirkhedunga 1190m

DAY 20:
Tirkhedunga – Birethati, Nayapul & drive to Pokhara 900m

DAY 21:
Drive to Kathmandu
