Chulu West Expedition

Climbing Chulu West and Chulu Central are best made from a base camp in a small valley north of Manang situated off the main trail to Thorong La pass 5416m. North-West Ridge: beyond the hut following the yak pastures and walk up a ridge which leads into a hidden valley where it is possible to find a Base camp. From this camp , ascend steep slopes up to a col 4,900/16,076 feet), on a subsidiary ridge that leads down from the main ridge. To the north of the col ascend snow slope for 200 meters to the base of a band of rock at an altitude of 5,100 meters high camp. From the plateau continue up the progressively narrowing ridge to the summit 6,250 meters /20,505 ft.

Day 1:
Arrival Kathmandu & transfer hotel 1350m.

Day 2:
Kathmandu- Half day cultural tours in Kathmandu valley includes (world heritage sites) and preparation for climbing permit & briefing.

DAY 3:
Kathmandu. Drive to besi Sahar 823m.

DAY 4:
Besi Sahar - Nyagdi.

DAY 5:
Nyagdi -Jagat.

DAY 6:
Jagat -Dharapani.

DAY 7:
Dharapani -Chame 2713m.

DAY 8:
Chame -Pisang Village 3185m.

DAY 9:
Pisang – Manang 3350m.

DAY 10:
Manang - rest for acclimatize.

DAY 11:
Manang – Chulu west Base Camp 4000m).

DAY 12:
Chulu west high camp 5000m.

DAY 13:
High camp - Summit 6419m. and return to Base camp.

DAY 14:
Base Camp – Thorong Base camp {Phedi} 4500m. Aprox.

DAY 15:
Base Camp - Thorong Pass 5416m. - Muktinath.

DAY 16:
Muktinath - Jomsom 2800m.

DAY 17:
Jomsom – Kalopani 2530m

DAY 18:
Kalopani – Tatopani 1189m

DAY 19:
Tatopani – Ghorepani 2850m

DAY 20:
Ghorepani – Tirkhedunga 1190m

DAY 21:
Tirkhedunga – Birethati, Nayapul & drive to Pokhara 900m

DAY 22:
Drive to Kathmandu

Cost for camping trek:
USD 2300.00 Per person (group size 2-3 person)
